Result

Add a Parquet file and its table appears here, every value as the text the CSV will hold.

How this works
  1. Add your Parquet file. Drop the .parquet file onto the page.
  2. Check the preview. The grid shows the table the engine read.
  3. Download. Save the CSV, or an Excel workbook.
What it cannot do
  • Type metadata does not survive into CSV — the values do, exactly, and the loss is stated on the page.
  • Reading needs the engine’s Parquet support, which this site serves itself; where it cannot load, the page says so.
  • Nested Parquet columns (lists, structs) are serialised as JSON text in their cells.
Questions
Why can nothing on my computer open a Parquet file?
Parquet is a columnar binary format built for analytics engines, not spreadsheets. The engine this site runs in your browser reads it natively, and CSV is the way out to everything else.
Is anything lost converting to CSV?
The type metadata — CSV is text, so an int64 column becomes digits. The digits themselves are exact; the page states the loss rather than hiding it.
Can I just look at the file without converting it?
Yes — the preview is a scrollable grid of the whole table, so the page doubles as a viewer even if you never download.
What happens to nested columns?
Lists and structured values are written as JSON text in their cells, because CSV has no way to hold them and dropping them would be worse.
Can I get an Excel file instead?
Yes. The same table downloads as an .xlsx workbook, with every value as text so codes and long numbers stay as they were.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs inside this page: when you convert Parquet to CSV here, the browser is told to block outbound connections, so nothing can be sent to another server. Keep the Network tab of your developer tools open while you convert Parquet to CSV: every request in it goes to this site, and none carries your file.

Your file is processed in this page and never uploaded — the privacy page shows how to confirm that yourself.
