Terms of use

LocalCSV is a set of free spreadsheet tools that run entirely on your device, operated by Riverbend Crossroads Digital LLC. Using the site means agreeing to these terms.

The service

LocalCSV provides tools for working with CSV and spreadsheet files — combining, cleaning, comparing, checking, and converting them. All processing happens in your browser; your files are never uploaded to us. The tools are free to use, with no account, for personal and commercial work alike.

Your files and your results

Your files, and everything the tools produce from them, are yours. Because your data never reaches us, we could not claim any rights over it even if we wanted to — and we don't.

You are responsible for what you do with the results. The tools show you what will change before anything is saved — row counts, removed rows, changed cells — and that preview exists to be read: check the result before you rely on it, and keep your original files. A download from LocalCSV is a new file; it never modifies the file you opened.

No warranty

The tools are provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard on correctness and test heavily, but we do not promise the tools are free of errors or that they will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riverbend Crossroads Digital LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from the use of — or inability to use — the tools. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is nothing.

Fair use of the site

Don't attempt to disrupt the site, probe or breach its security, or misrepresent LocalCSV as your own or as affiliated with anyone it isn't.

Trademarks

Excel is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. LocalCSV is not affiliated with Microsoft.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from them belongs to the state or federal courts located in Indiana.

Changes

We may update these terms; changes appear on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated terms.
