Remove blank rows from a CSV
Strip empty and whitespace-only rows in one pass, with a count of what went and a preview before anything is downloaded.

Result
Add a file. The blank rows are counted at once, and nothing downloads unseen.
How this works
- Add your file. Drop a CSV onto the page.
- Check the count. See how many rows would be removed and browse the result.
- Download. Save the file without its blank rows.
What it cannot do
- Only fully blank rows are removed; rows that are partly filled always stay, whatever is missing from them.
- A trailing newline at the very end of a file is line-ending convention, not a blank row, and is left alone.
- The removal applies to the download; the original file is never modified.
Questions
- What counts as a blank row?
- A row where every value is empty. Rows containing only spaces or tabs count too by default, and a switch keeps them if your file uses them deliberately.
- Will rows with some blank values be removed?
- No. A row with any real value in any column stays. Removing rows that are merely incomplete is a different decision, and this tool refuses to make it for you.
- How do I know how many rows were removed?
- The result states it plainly — rows in, rows out, rows removed — and the preview shows the file as it will download before the button becomes active.
- What happens to the rows that stay?
- Nothing. Every value you did not touch is carried through exactly as written — leading zeros, long numbers, dates that look like words, quoting and line endings included.
- Where do blank rows even come from?
- Usually from exports that pad their output, from deleting data in a spreadsheet without deleting the rows, or from files stitched together by hand. They are harmless to look at and a nuisance to every tool that counts rows.
- Is my file uploaded anywhere?
- No. When you remove blank rows from a CSV here, the work happens inside this page and the browser is told to block outbound connections, so there is no upload to intercept. Watch the Network tab of your developer tools while you remove blank rows from a CSV: the only requests are for this site’s own code, and none carries your file.
